IB Announcements IB World Student ConferencesFor students interested in summer travel-learning opportunities related to IB -- you may be interested in one of IB's World Student Conferences: Global Engagement Through Social Entrepreneurship in Segovia, Spain (2-6 July 2012) or The New Sustainability: Making Things Better, Not Just 'Less Bad' in Vancouver, Canada (23-27 July 2012) For more information and to register for these conferences: http://ibo.org/wsc/ Note: these conferences are intended for students who will be in the full IB Diploma program next year as juniors or seniors. Junior IB Diploma Candidates...If you (or your parent) missed the Extended Essay meeting on January 9, it is necessary for you to contact Ms. Renard to schedule a one-on-one meeting to cover this important material. This is not optional. It is a required part of the Extended Essay process at MVHS.
One-on-one conferences will take place during regular school hours (not in the evening). Please contact Ms. Renard ASAP at renardla@staffordschools.net to schedule your make-up conference about the Extended Essay if you did not attend. NEW! IB Discussion ClubThe first meeting of the IB Discussion Club will be held on Thursday, Dec 8th at 2:30 in room 205. The purpose of this club is to generate positive discussion between current IB and Pre-IB students and to increase understanding of the IB core (Learner Profile, CAS, ToK, International Mindedness). There will be lively discussions, fun activities and interesting speakers.
